The successes achieved with the developed solar thermal collectors laid the foundation for Şimşek to become a recognized and trusted brand in the renewable energy sector, the industry of the future.
2000
Expansion of Product Range and Growth Across Turkey
Along with increasing product diversity, a dealer network has been established, creating a robust structure that reaches solution partners and customers across Turkey.
2002
Establishment of the Corporate Structure
Steps toward establishing a corporate identity were taken in 2002, and the brand structure was strengthened to form the basis for future group companies.
2003
First International Success
The export of solar thermal collectors manufactured to international quality standards for use in prestigious projects in Bulgaria marks the first major step into the international market.
2008
Transition to Boiler Production and Machine Investments
These years marked a period of intense effort for the brand, with the goal of becoming a globally recognized brand, not limited to Turkey. In addition to successes in collector production, boiler production gained momentum.
2011
The ultrasonic welding machine has been put into operation.
During this period, numerous national and international certification and R&D processes were successfully completed.
2012
Van Earthquake Housing Project
The large-scale applications carried out in Van earthquake housing, with their high quality, long life, and top-level after-sales service approach, became one of the milestones that reinforced Şimşek Solar’s leadership in the sector.
2013
Construction of New Facilities
Mersin Tarsus 2. Construction has begun on a factory and administrative building on a 11,575 m² plot of land in the Organized Industrial Zone.

Solar Keymark Certification
The Solar Keymark certification obtained in the same year was a significant development that certified Şimşek’s product quality and efficiency on the international stage.

Opening of the Modern Production Campus
The 5,700 m² enclosed production area and 1,300 m² administrative building have been completed.

Enamel Oven Investment
With the enamel oven investment made in 2014, boiler production became fully possible within the company; the production chain gained a fully independent, robust, and fast structure.
2015
AFAD Refugee Camp Projects
AFAD’s efforts to convert electric heating in refugee camp projects to solar energy have been successfully completed, pioneering the transition of these projects to renewable energy.
2018
The Start of a New Era
In 2018, Sinan Şimşek acquired full ownership of the company’s shares, marking the beginning of a much more aggressive and visionary period of growth for the company.
2019
Digital Transformation: Transition to ERP System
A major step has been taken in the digitalization process by transferring all production, purchasing, shipping, inventory management, and workflows to the ERP system.

Regional Expansion and Global Growth in Exports
2019 marked a turning point for Şimşek Solar, with exports rapidly expanding.
The export network was significantly expanded by launching active projects in numerous new markets.
2022
Establishment of SMK Teknik
Copper pipes, chrome pipes, flex pipes, control panels, control cards, laser cutting and bending table constructions, and other consumables were supplied by SMK, allowing the group to move its entire supply chain to internal resources.
2023
Laser Welding Machine Investment
To further improve collector production quality, a laser welding machine was introduced, taking production technology and production speed to a new level.
2024
Establishment of Şimşek YES
Şimşek YES was established to manage project implementations, installations, service organizations, and after-sales processes across Turkey from a single center.
2025
The Birth of the Lipus Brand
Combining energy storage, heat pump, pool heating, underfloor heating, PV, and charging station technologies, Lipus was established as the group’s new generation energy and climate control brand.
